Is your little boy having nightmares? This may be a sign you are waiting for. This is an indication that you have hope with him having to get through the night wetting very soon.

Wake him up when he has a bad dream. Then teach him to always use the toilet after the nightmare. By using his potty before going back to bed, he may have already got off that weird dream in his mind.

Attaining night time control is not a simple skill. More than a skill, it is rather a physiological growth. This kind of control is for the most part involuntary.

By now, during the daytime, he would probably go to the potty seat to urinate. About night time potty training, the progression might be a little harder. Your complete plan for potty training must comprise a night time potty training plan and this step is the trickiest. How you attack the situation to night time training is much dependent on your child.

To get on this stage, you will most likely require your child to be in night-time underwear when he sleeps. If he is wetting very often, I would advise a disposable pull up. This makes it more convenient on every one involved. My only concern is that it causes confusion in the child's mind. Because the disposables don't let the child sense the wetness, be sure to monitor his progress to get rid of this right away.

To make it easier for him to stay dry at night, control the fluids he drinks before bedtime. Also impose in him to always use the toilet before sleeping. Practice a lot and soon enough, he will be successful with the night time bladder control and finally, you will have a better sleep.
